Workshop Objective:
There are known dysfinctions in teams that stand in the way of a team focussing on results and lead to a sub-par functioning of team. Leaving them unable to reach their potential and impacting the growth. Understand how trust, norms and conflict is needed to contribute to a High Performance team.
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team
1. Absence of Trust
Teamwork is founded in vulnerability.
2. Fear of Conflict
Once trust is established, team is unafraid of debate about ideas.
3. Lack of Commitment
Team must buy-in and commit to decisions despite initial disagreement.
4. Avoidance of Accountability
Team mates must hold each other accountable to group decisions and visions.
5. Inattention to Results
Team must be focused on the success of the project and getting results.
Workshop Agenda
Trust is the basic requirement to avoid other team dysfunctions.
Structured Friction is required to shape new ideas, challenge old ones, make decisions that drive the best results, not decisions for the sake of maintaining consensus.
